Membrane Descriptions
- Membrane of MCE—-MCE (Mixed Cellulose Esters) is all low protein binding, well suited for filtration of biological samples.
- Membrane of Nylon—-Nylon is ideal for filtration of chromatography samples.
- Membrane of PVDF—-PVDF (Polyvinylidene difluoride) is hydrophilic material used for HPLC sample filtration and general biological filtration. This membrane is a low protein binding, solvent resistant membrane.
- Membrane of PTFE-—PTFE (Teflon) can be used to filter solvents and strong acids. Although PTFE is inherently hydrophobic, it can be made hydrophilic by pre-wetting the membrane with methanol and then rinsing with water.
