A common alternative oil for kinematic viscometer baths when replacing silicone oil is refined white mineral oil (paraffin oil) containing an oxidation inhibitor.

Before Start NH4-HT Heater make sure Tank is Full, There is Floating Metal Ball is Fitted in heater, Once tank get Full with Liquid and floating ball move above heating element , this will allow heater to start working. if tank is not full heater safety will not allow heater to start heating ,

Clifton digital circulating baths are designed for circulation of temperature controlled water or heat transfer fluids in a closed circuit or for maintaining a stable temperature environment in the bath for the immersion of flasks, bottles and racks.

Clifton circulating baths are constructed using durable stainless steel, painted surfaces are powder coated with tough anti-bacterial finish with good chemical resistance. Easy to use controls that wipe clean also have an anti-bacterial finish. Immersed components are corrosion resistant. Quiet running in use and providing excellent water temperature stability. Indication of heating, over temperature alarm and timer running.

This range features the ability to pump temperature controlled liquid around a closed circuit. Featuring a circulation pump with the capacity of 10 litres per minute.

In addition to circulating around a closed vessel, this range has the capability of operating up to 130˚C.


Safety Features

• The under/over temperature alarm is automatically set 4˚C above and 4˚C below set temperature. When in alarm condition, the indicator illuminates and actual bath temperature is shown. If bath is over temperature, both heating and stirring are switched off. Once liquid temperature has fallen or risen above/below the alarm setting, the indicator clears and actual bath temperature is shown.

• Features a low liquid level float switch, which ensures heating is switched off if the liquid falls below the recommended level – display will show “FiLL”. Heating is switched off but stirring continues. To reset, carefully top up the liquid to the recommended level.

• A second safety device can be set just above the working temperature protecting samples.

Oxidation Resistance: Unlike standard mineral or paraffin oils that darken, turn yellow, and form sludge over prolonged heat exposure, silicone fluid resists oxidation Silicone Fluid – Clear heat transfer fluid with high oxidation resistance and low volatility.

Low Volatility and Clear Visibility: Silicone oil does not evaporate quickly or cloud up the bath window, allowing clear optical or manual observation of the meniscus passing reference marks on the capillary viscometer tube “Clear heat transfer fluid with high oxidation resistance and low volatility.”, as noted by Koehler Instrument Company.
Safe Viscosity Characteristics: It retains consistent fluid dynamics and good heat transfer properties across wide thermal ranges without posing immediate flammability risks They have good thermal characteristics and low flammability.
